Summer 2011: Thanks to Curtis and Jim for helping to install two dehumidifer units in the downstairs and have them drain automatically into the well room. The unit in the living room downstairs is keeping things nice and dry. And the porch just got a new deck of paint last week during the family visit. The kids and cousins all grabbed a brush Huck Finn style giving the old deck a fresh look (unitl we can figure out how to get it replaced altogether).

Spring 2010: We made the hike up to Beaver last week to open up the cottage and add new furniture. Thanks to Gus and Doug for the help getting the heavy items in. Now the cottage has a king-size bed in the upstairs loft, new couches on the main floor and couches and chairs downstairs in front of the lower-level fire place. We hope the additions make the cottage more comfortable, and also give everyone a little more room to spread out. The basement now is a great area for folks to watch movies in front of the fire. We think it will be ideal for younger guests while the older folks enjoy the main floor for a bit of relaxation...

We're excited about this new year in the cabin and are working with some of the folks on Beaver to lay plans for more changes and additions to the house. We hope everyone enjoys the new additions and lets us know if there is anything missing.

Winter 2010: After shutting up the cabin for a few months, we're already making plans to re-open the cottage in early April. As spring begins, we'll be bringing a few new pieces of furniture up to the cabin, including some couches and chairs to make the basement more accommodating and a new king-size bed for the upstairs master bedroom. Stay tuned and we'll post some pictures in a few months when we have the cabin open again.
